Colorado Cowboys & Horses Workshops – Imagine a place where the wild west still lives… Hundreds of horses running with power and freedom, beautiful light and dust. Real working cowboys and cowgirls, big open spaces and wood corrals. Beautiful open blue skies and long days to live it and photograph it… If this sounds like heaven to you then join us in a special part of Western America. This is where the real west is still alive and our photographers will have special access to document it with their cameras and share it with a group of like-minded photographers and horse lovers. There is no other place or event like it on earth!

This will be our fourteenth year offering this spectacular Colorado Cowboys & Horses Workshops – a one of a kind event! This area of Northwest Colorado is known for it’s remote high desert beauty, abundant wildlife, wild horses and working ranches and cowboys. This region is also home to the Outlaw Trail, the stomping grounds of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

This event will begin with two days of exclusive photographic access to the Sombrero Ranch horses, cowboys and cowgirls. The sessions will be led by Scott Trees and Carien Schippers. There’s a variety of set ups for attendees to shoot, from working horses in the corrals and detail shots, to epic horse drives and water crossings. You will have great opportunities to build you stock portfolio and create stunning art pieces. The workshop session will wind up with a Photoshop session with Sherron Sheppard, group discussions, photo and portfolio reviews and a wrap up slide show party with all our Sombrero friends.

Part two of the event will start with a trip into the vast Sombrero Ranch outback. Followed by two days of the Great American Horse Drive, an experience like no other.
